Quickstart
Go from zero to a working webhook buffer in a few minutes.
This guide sets up your first buffer with the API. By the end you'll have a pipeline that receives webhooks, groups them and delivers batches to your endpoint.
Prefer clicking? Everything here can also be done in the dashboard: sign up, open Buffers, click New Buffer and copy the ingest URL shown in the list. A Default Project is created for you when you sign up.
Prerequisites
- A Webbu account: sign up at webbu.dev. New accounts start with 10,000 credits.
- An API key: create one in the dashboard under Settings → API Keys (webbu.dev/settings/api-keys). Keys start with
wbk_and are shown only once. - A destination URL that accepts
POSTrequests. For testing, webhook.site gives you one instantly.
Set up your API key
Management endpoints use the X-API-Key header:
export WEBBU_API_KEY="wbk_your_key_here"$env:WEBBU_API_KEY = "wbk_your_key_here"Steps
