Dead Letter Queue
View, retry and delete failed batches in the dashboard.
Viewing the DLQ
- Click DLQ in the sidebar
- Filter by Buffer or Reason, or search by group key or ID
Each entry shows the buffer, group key, reason, number of items, attempts and when it was created. Open an entry to see the last error, the group ID and the payload summary (message IDs and a preview of the first payload), which you can download.
Retrying an entry
Click Retry (requires admin or owner). Webbu schedules an immediate delivery for the entry's group and removes the entry.
The failed items themselves are not stored in the DLQ entry, so Retry delivers only what is currently buffered for that group. Use the message IDs in the payload summary to replay the failed events from your sender.
Fix the cause first, for example bring the destination back online or correct the delivery URL.
Deleting an entry
Click Delete (requires admin or owner) to remove the entry permanently.
Common causes
| Last error | Cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
HTTP 5xx | Your endpoint failed on every attempt | Fix the endpoint; consider more attempts or a longer backoff |
HTTP 4xx (except 408/429) | Your endpoint rejected the batch; not retried | Check the URL, auth headers and how your endpoint parses the batch |
connect ECONNREFUSED … | Nothing is listening at the destination | Check the server and the delivery URL |
| Timeout | Your endpoint took more than 10 seconds | Acknowledge first, process asynchronously |
getaddrinfo ENOTFOUND … | The destination host doesn't resolve | Fix the hostname in the delivery URL |
If several batches in a row fail, the buffer is auto-paused.
