Managing Projects
Create, edit and delete projects in the dashboard.
What is a project?
A project groups buffers, for example to separate environments (production, staging) or applications. Every account starts with a Default Project. Creating, editing and deleting projects requires the admin or owner role.
Creating a project
- Click Projects in the sidebar
- Click New Project
- Enter a name and save
Editing a project
Open the project, click Edit Project, change the name or the Enabled flag and save.
Deleting a project
A project can be deleted only when it has no buffers. Delete or move its buffers first; otherwise the API answers 400 Cannot delete project with existing buffers. Deleting cannot be undone.
Project details
The details view shows the project ID, status, number of buffers and dates, with shortcuts to the project's buffers and analytics.
