Analytics

Ingestion and delivery metrics in the dashboard and the API.

Overview

The Analytics page shows how your buffers perform over time. Use it to confirm traffic is flowing, spot delivery problems and tune flush conditions.

Filters

  • Date Range: today, last 7 days or last 30 days
  • Project and Buffer: narrow the data to one project or buffer

Metrics

MetricMeaning
Total RequestsWebhooks accepted by ingest
DeliveriesDelivery attempts to your destinations
Success RateShare of delivery attempts that succeeded
Retry Rate / RetriesHow many deliveries were retries
DLQ Rate / DLQ ItemsBatches that ended in the dead letter queue
CompressionWebhooks received per delivery; higher means more batching
Items DeliveredWebhooks delivered inside batches
Avg Batch SizeItems per delivery

Charts show requests vs. deliveries, successes vs. failures, the success rate and compression ratio over time, and distributions of time to flush (how long items waited) and delivery duration (how long your endpoint took).

Reading the numbers

Requests far above items delivered. Some gap is normal: items wait in their groups until a flush condition is met. A growing gap means deliveries are failing or groups never flush; check the DLQ and your flush conditions.

Compression close to 1. Almost every webhook is delivered on its own. Raise idleTimeoutMs or maxWaitFromFirstMs, or check that your group key isn't unique per event (e.g. an event ID).

Long time to flush. Items wait for maxWaitFromFirstMs or idleTimeoutMs. Lower them if latency matters.

Long delivery duration. Your endpoint is slow. Deliveries that take more than 10 seconds time out and are retried.

Analytics via API

# Today's summary with trends vs. yesterday
curl -H "X-API-Key: $WEBBU_API_KEY" \
  https://webbu.dev/api/v1/analytics/summary

# Daily series (days defaults to 7), optionally filtered by projectId or bufferId
curl -H "X-API-Key: $WEBBU_API_KEY" \
  "https://webbu.dev/api/v1/analytics/timeseries?days=30&bufferId=b_orders"

Metrics are aggregated per day (UTC). See the API Reference for the response fields.
